The teacher says it in Arabic — listen.
Take your seat — the teacher will read the lesson to you.
This lesson's words
Every word in this lesson, in the order the teacher says them. Tap a word to jump the lesson to it, or the speaker beside it to hear it again.
This browser has no Arabic (Egyptian) voice installed, so the words are shown but not spoken.
How to play: nothing to do but listen — this is the keystone basic lesson as an audiobook, the same words that the Basic - In Class lesson teaches, read to you before you are ever asked a question. The teacher says each word or sentence in Arabic while it appears on the board, pauses for the count you chose, says what it means in English while that appears, pauses again, says the Arabic once more, pauses, and moves on to the next — the lesson plays itself end to end. Use the pause button to stop the reading, and the two arrows to skip forward or back to another word. Below the game screen is every word in the lesson, in the same order it is taught, each with its meaning and a speaker to hear it again. There is no guessing, no timer and no failing — the words come in the same order every time, so each listening is a familiar run-through that prepares the classroom ahead. Each level targets approximately 64 words (max 80), so each lands at about fifteen minutes. All levels together are the whole lesson.
