How to play: Egyptian Challenge is a quiz board, and the whole of it is in Egyptian. Pick a square — the category runs along the top of the board and the points down its column — and the host reads out a clue: a fact from the lesson with a blank in it, such as مصر في __. "Egypt is in ____." Your response is a QUESTION, the way the television show has it and the way the lesson teaches it: آسيا صح؟ "Asia, right?" Choose one of the four, and it glows as your final answer before it is marked; each choice has its own buttons to hear it and to copy it. Right, and the square's points are yours. Wrong, and you lose nothing: the host tells you the answer, the square turns amber and stays on the board, and you can come back to it — winning it then clears the square but banks no points. The board ends when every square is won, and there is no clock on any clue. The two contestants at the desks only cheer you on. There are four boards — a map, the Nile and the sea, history, and Egypt and the world, worth 100–200 up to 400–800 — and every word on them is one that Geography & History - Listen First and Geography & History - In Class have already taught, on the Egyptian course.
