How to play: the teacher writes a foundation word or sentence on the board — simplified Chinese with its tone-marked pinyin underneath — and speaks it aloud. Pick the English meaning from four choices. Right answers earn a cheer; wrong answers reveal the answer, teach a useful note and return later until you get them right. There is no failing. Copy the characters with the copy button or hear the line again with the speaker button. The lesson covers pronouns, family, greetings, politeness, questions, numbers, time, verbs, adjectives, nouns and whole sentences — the Mandarin every game on the wall is built from.
