There is no Spanish voice on this machine, so the words are shown but not spoken — the How to play card below says how to add one.

How to play: the board deals each word twice — once written properly in Spanish, once as the way it is said or as its English. Tap a tile, then tap its partner: a pair goes in, pays 100 points, and is said aloud in Spanish. Every pair you make without a mistake multiplies the next one, up to five times over, and a wrong guess counts a mistake and puts the run back to nothing — the board ends only when every pair is matched. Clear it and the clock stops; each deck keeps its own best time. Ten decks of 229 words in all.

Spanish very nearly says what it spells, which makes it the kindest of these boards — but the handful of places it does not are the same handful every time. ll is a y, ñ is the ny in canyon, j is a rasping h, h is nothing at all, and in Spain z, ce and ci are the th in "think" — so cerveza is "thehr-BEH-thah". The Letters deck is that closed list on its own, and it is the one to play first. Accents is the hard one: it deals pairs spelled the same but for one mark — papa a potato against papá dad, si if against yes, hablo I speak against habló he spoke. On a longer word the accent moves the stress and you can hear it; on a short one it moves nothing at all and exists only to tell two words apart on the page, which is why that board is matched against the meaning. A pair already made stays on the board faded; tap it to hear the word again.

If the words are shown but never spoken, this browser has no Spanish voice installed. On Windows that is Settings → Time & language → Language & region → Add a language → Español (España), with the speech component ticked; on macOS and iOS it is System Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → System Voice → Manage Voices. The board is fully playable read.
