Star Blaster

How to play: slide your ship along the bottom with the mouse, a finger, the arrow keys or the pad — the cannon fires by itself. Attackers arrive in formation, sway together, and break off to dive at you, firing as they come; one that dives is worth double. Red fighters take two hits. A wreck sometimes drops a green ×2: catch it for a double cannon. A hit costs a ship (you have three) and leaves you blinking and safe for a moment. Clear four waves and then the mothership in the fifth to win. Space pauses.
