Privacy Policy
What Experdize collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have over your own information. This policy is written to be read, not just to exist.
Effective date: September 1, 2026
Who we are
Experdize is a community site for deals and reviews, skilled work and free games, operated by a small independent team. Questions about this policy go to contact@experdize.com.
What we collect
- Account information — when you register, we keep your email address, a password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), and the public profile details you choose to add.
- Content you post — deals, reviews, news, comments, jobs, company and expert profiles, messages to other members, and the reactions and applications attached to them.
- Usage information — pages you view, games you play and their scores, and similar activity needed to run the site and its leaderboards. Your IP address and basic device information are logged briefly for security and abuse prevention.
- Communications — if you write to us, we keep the correspondence long enough to help you.
How we use it
- To run the site: sign you in, show your posts and theirs, operate the games and leaderboards, and deliver messages.
- To moderate: catch spam, fake reviews, duplicates and abuse, and keep the community honest.
- To improve: understand what people actually use, so effort goes where it helps.
- To keep the site free: show advertising, as described below.
- To comply with the law when we have to.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build a profile of you for any third party.
Cookies and local storage
Experdize uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences — the look of a game table, sound levels, and similar settings. These are essential to the site working as it does.
We also use Google Sign-In on the registration page, and we show advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising partners use cookies to decide which ads you see:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or at aboutads.info.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised advertising is shown, using Google's consent management tooling. You can withdraw or change that choice at any time.
Who we share with
- Service providers — the hosting, storage, email, analytics and AI providers that power the site. They process data only to provide those services. AI providers receive the text of a post only when a member (or our own editorial account) explicitly asks to generate or refine it.
- Other members — anything you post publicly, and your public profile, are visible to everyone, as they are meant to be.
- The authorities — if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Experdize, its members or the public.
Experdize is hosted on cloud infrastructure, which may mean your data is processed in a jurisdiction other than the one you live in. Where this matters to you, the hosting is in the United States.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights:
- Access — a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — fix inaccurate information, usually by editing your profile.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and the personal information attached to it.
- Objection or restriction — object to particular processing, or ask us to limit it.
- Portability — receive your information in a structured, machine-readable form.
These reflect the GDPR (for the EEA and UK), the California Consumer Privacy Act (for California residents), Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's federal privacy law (for Canadian residents), and similar legislation elsewhere. To exercise any of them, email contact@experdize.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will ask you to verify your identity first, and we never charge a fee for a reasonable request.
How long we keep it
Account information stays until you delete your account. Content you post stays as long as it is live on the site; deleting your account removes the account details, and content you posted may remain where it is part of the public record (for example, inside a conversation another member keeps). Server logs are kept briefly and then overwritten.
Children
Experdize is a general-audience site and accounts require the member to be old enough to agree to our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, connections are encrypted, and we limit access to the personal information we hold. No system is impenetrable, but we take reasonable measures and act quickly when something goes wrong.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the effective date above and — for significant changes — tell you on the site. Continued use of Experdize after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Contact
Privacy questions or requests: contact@experdize.com, or the contact page. If you are in the EEA or UK and unhappy with how we handle a request, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
